Look around. Inside, outside...I don't care. But there's a lot more beauty around than we would usually think. If it's too cold outside...take pictures inside! Find some of your favorite books or decor and snap away!

Go outside. So what if it's freezing! Spending time outside is a great way to find inspiration...and they'll always be more.
Be creative and experiment: take pictures of things you would normally even notice. Experiment with editing, focus etc. Who knows what you'll come up with, and even if it's not beautiful, maybe it'll give you an idea for something else.
Learn: Learn more about your camera and what you can do with it. Then go and experiment!
Go places: don't just sit at home! Go places around your town or neighborhood and shoot away! Not only do you get to go somewhere new with your camera, you'll also find yourself noticing details you never saw before.
Challenge yourself: don't just wait around for inspiration to find you, search for it yourself! Challenge yourself to take a certain number of photos a day, or do a 30-day-photo-challenge such as this one.
Choose a theme and look around for all the things that represent that theme or color. For example, choose the color blue, and go out and find shoot anything you see that is blue.
Change things: don't take at the same time of day of the exact same things. Think about what you do every day and do the opposite.
Get models: get together with some friends and take pictures of them look or poses on pinterest or websites like this one, and try it for yourself!
What inspires you and what do you do to get re-inspired?

Great Post, Carli! I think almost every photographer gets discouraged in the winter......this was helpful.

People are a huge source of my inspiration but also since I'm a natural light photographer when I see awesome light I'm usually inspired to grab my camera and go shoot! Sometimes I have to force myself to take pictures but the 30 day challenge has really inspired me, also its kinda weird but I've been loving the grey foggy weather where I live.
