echoes of yesterday (v. 2): the little red wagon.

This is the little red wagon. Does that bring a picture to your mind? It does for me. I picture my eight-year-old self, tramping around in the fields near my home, dressed in old skirts and a scarf on my head (my idea of a pioneer woman's dress). I picture my little brother, dressed in his "furs" and coon-skin cap (which, by the way, was real) carrying his toy rifle. I would pack the the wagon full of pots and pans with various food items, and off we would go, that little wagon rattling behind us.

On other days we would take turns pushing and pulling each other in that red wagon, laughing with happiness. I remember one time when set all of our kittens, about 4 months old at the time, in the wagon, and pulled the wagon around yard. To our surprise, the kittens didn't enjoy the ride as much as we did-they were continually jumping out of wagon, only to be deposited back into the wagon--for, we said, they didn't know what they were missing. And those are only a few ways that little red wagon served us, for throughout my younger years, that little red wagon played a big part in my life. Now it sits in the shed, only brought out when I want to be reminded of the old days.

Springtime

the sun shines warmly,
smiling down to say,
a new season is dawning,
and winter has gone away.

the first flowers of april,
are nodding in the breeze,
the robin and the bluebird,
are singing in the trees.

the world outside is calling,
and into the sunshine I go,
amazed by the beauty,
of this earth I call my home.

He is risen.

Happy Easter, Everyone!!

He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.

I have returned.

Hi guys! I'm back, and a fresh air has never felt so good. My spring break was great. I really needed some time to get away from it all and clear my mind. I think i got just that. So I'm diving back into blogging and photography with new energy. Due to homework and school, I might not be posting as often, but I'm going to try to make what I post more original. So I think it'd be great if you guys, my followers and whoever else is reading this blog, would help me. I would like to know better what this blog is missing and what I can do about that. So if you guys could tell me what you'd like to see more of on this blog, what you feel is missing, that would be great. Comment, email, whatever! I would love to hear from you.

I have some ideas, but I want more. I want my blog to be more creative, more me. I want to be in touch with who is reading my blog, and why they are. I want to be able to post about things I really believe in, and not just what everybody else does. I want this to be more than just me posting picture a couple times a week. I want it to mean something to me...and to everybody else.
